Every time I see one of these, I am less likely to vote for Newsom in the 2028 primary.

While I appreciate a president with a sense of humor, a candidate lowers himself for that high office by mimmicking Trump.

Nobody is perfect. All have plusses and minuses. I see Newsom's ALL CAPS mimmickry of Trump as a negative. There are better ways to tear him a new one, including scathing wit and humor.

He's normalizing it. The ONLY thing that gets under his skin is making fun of him or embarrassing him.
There should be MORE of it. When he insults a journalist like he did Norah O'Donnell on 60Min she shouldve mocked his insult right then.

There are much better ways to get one's point across. These ALL CAPS mocking posts won't move the needle for any swing voter or MAGAt.

It turns me off, and I'm sure I'm not alone. I've been a Democratic voter since 1976. I will always vote for our party's nominee, but there are more choices in the primary.

I like my governor better (Pritzger) but a lot can happen between now and 2028.

That's what I did in 2020 with my primary vote for Joe Biden, breaking a vow I made in 2002 (the year I joined DU). I protested the war in Iraq before Dim Son Bush launched it. Heading into the Oct 2002 vote on the Iraq War Resolution, I was looking for strong Democratic leadership to oppose it. A little more than half the Dems in the House and Senate voted against it but several Senate leaders voted for it including John Kerry, Joe Biden, and Hillary Clinton. I vowed that no one who voted to give GW Bush authority to invade Iraq would ever get my vote in a Democratic primary. I held that vow for 18 years.
