The Scotus's reasoning was immediately disproven by how quickly southern states eliminated Black majority districts.

Racism is alive and well.

There is no clearer case for the necessity of Section 2 of the Voting Rights Act of 1965 than how quickly southern states moved to eliminate Black-majority districts and dilute Black power after SCOTUS eroded Section 2.

SCOTUS’s reasoning was immediately disproven by reality.

Look at Roe v Wade. How many of those “justices” sat in front of confirmation hearings and said that they weren’t going to overturn it? Only to do it within 2 years. They cover their asses in words to get through the moment to allow the conservative movement to win down the road

If repubs suddenly had a change of heart to more liberal values the justices would drop them like a bad apple.

"The same folks who fought integration tooth and nail in the 1960s, continued to drag their feet in the 1970s and ’80s, and spent the intervening decades fomenting racial strife for their own electoral gains became the first people to insist — without irony or self-awareness, let alone repentance or shame — that racism was behind us."

"Integration went from never to too soon to enough already."

"One of the features of white supremacy, if you’re a white supremacist, is you get to expurgate your own sins."

"You can shed the robe and hood. You can get cosmetic surgery, as David Duke literally did, and made yourself inoffensive and telegenic. You can craft elaborately self-serving legal theories stripped of overt racial animus. You can even flip the script and play indignant victim when accused of racism. But you never ever have to be accountable for America’s original sin."

... of the Sinister Six's blatant racism is irrefutable, as is their servile obeisance to the vile creature who not only inspires and encourages the worst in his supporters, but openly celebrates it as if unswerving loyalty to him is patriotism. It is not.
The only good thing they've ever done is to lay bare all the reasons why the Court so desperately needs radical reform for the good of the country.
Their impeachment and disbarment cannot occur soon enough.
