That term includes many people who are completely harmless. Most people who qualify for the label "mentally ill" are not violent and do not go out of their way to harm others.

exacerbating his psychopathy. Frontal lobe dementia destroys the part of the brain where reason and restraint come from. Whatever little restraints Trump had in his behavior are gone. Gartner says that Trump's brain is now just an unleashed id lashing out all his grievances on the world.

I've heard him talk about that, and it's absolutely true. Trump has lost his filter, which is why he's so much more blatantly rude (like calling reporters names to their faces when they ask a question he doesn't like). He used to be able to fake being a half decent human being at least some of the time, but that is gone now, especially when anyone challenges him in any way.

The only way to avoid diect atracks, either f2f or on Twitter, is to constantly butter him up and kow tow to him. That still seens to be working for now, but I can't hekp wondering if it will lasppt. As his inhibitions continue to erode, will he become such a hateful, vituperative ball of abuse that no one can stand to be around him any longer? Will a time come when catering to him constantly will no longer be enough to stave off his wrath and he starts lashing out viciously even at people who are still crawling on their bellies for him? Will any of them ever get sick of it and turn on him? We can only hope.

It doesn't go far enough, though, imo. The Dark Triad includes that and much more. From the article I linked yesterday:

This dopey maga beast is killing people right here by skyrocketing their life-saving insurance. He's killing people all over the world by taking away food and medicine. He's pushing people all over the world closer to the margins with his stupid war on Iran. He's blowing up people on boats in the Caribbean. He's using his position to enrich himself. He's using the power of his office to do favors for friends. And so on. He's such a corrupt specimen that there isn't enough space in the 24/7 news cycle to give it all the time it deserves.

...in the mid terms. But now that I think about it, that is not realistic in a few months time.
