This short article reminds me of a comic monologue of George Carlin's where he talks about "male toxicity". "Ever notice that Bombs, missiles, rockets, and bullets are shaped like the male penis? It's phallic, man!" Macho posturing at it's finest as Bardem also calls out Vladimir Putin and Benjamin Netyanahu as well.As Javier Bardem puts it, And that problem also goes to Mr. Trump and Mr. Putin and Mr. Netanyahu, he said. The big balls man saying, My cock is bigger than yours, and Im going to bomb the shit out of you. That is a fucking toxic male behavior that is creating thousands of dead people.

(45,410 posts)There are special laws against women doing things with their bodies. I think there should be a surcharge tax on men for all the expenses they cost us with their crime and wars. Of course its not practical. But I have thought that

(11,536 posts)There should be real consequences for those who act like some of the men in this country act.
But, there are none, thanks to legal rigging that has been going on for decades.
And, the biggest issue... we don't seem to care to do anything about any of this. Oh, we talk and we talk, but what has changed?
Right this moment, there are states that have laws that treat women like indentured servants. And, those states are still at it and no one is stopping them.
All I can say is that, one day... we will understand the need for actual consequences in our society.
And, I mean across the board. NO more rich people squeaking out of being responsible just because they are rich.
Again... not going to happen, but I have also thought about it.

Javier Bardem in "No Country for Old Men"

(17,532 posts)I know that the mention of old men is meant to be a clever play on a movie title, but Javier Bardem was talking about deadly realities that aren't determined by an age or age range but by attitudes multiple countries have long wrestled with and right-wing authoritarianism endangering people around the world.
And the domestic violence Bardem references is common here in the United States as well.

(200 posts)Short man superiority complex because these people don't ever sit at home and sulk.
Not all short men have SMSC, but those that do have chosen to respond behaviorially in a socially toxic manner, having been taught by society that being short is bad, but they go out and will "prove" to the whole world that they are the greatest and strongest (read most vile and most evil).
