Mike Johnson's district #4 - that's shown in red on this map - why is the green #6 District cutting right through the center of his 4th District? I'm sure it has to do with the high concentration of Black voters in certain areas, and Johnson decided he'd rather not represent them.
The incumbent holds onto power, and at the same time excludes the voters he prefers not to represent. This is how gerrymandering works.... the incumbent has his thumb on the scale to make sure he gets re-elected. The Black candidates won't get a chance because their numbers are diluted everywhere except Districts 2 and 6.

(3,572 posts)Republicans will continue to advance the lie that white Republican politicians will represent voters of color.
They wont.

(4,731 posts)... do you know about "fairness", you suppurating pustule of bigotry? You're a racist weasel utterly devoid of even a rudimentary understanding common human decency. "Returns fairness"? Lynchings were fair? Guess how many jelly beans if you want to vote was fair? You are from the South. You long ago forfeited ANY right to White-splain the Voting Rights Act to anyone, never mind to People of Color, and the same goes for the Sinister Six currently defiling the Supreme Court. May God strike you all dead.
