..the entire roughly 170 billion dollars allocated to competitive and discretionary grants into a slush fund 10 times the size of the anti-weaponization slush fund.

May 29 Vought's OMB released over 400 pages of regulatory changes usurping congressional authority with changes that apply to all grants, not just NIH and NSF. Within those pages:

Grants must align with the felon's priorities, not agency mission set forth by congress.

Right to cancel any grant at will.

Strip peer review and expert advisory authority.

Trumpublican hacks empowered to make all decisions.

Effectively end international collaboration


This is staggering. All agency grant funds are being turned into a slush fund to advance private interests, NOT the public interest.
