OMEN ALERT

Our team on the ground at the Kennedy Center reports....RAINBOW

Norm Eisen (@normeisen.bsky.social) 2026-06-13T00:05:37.813Z

As the crowd of patriots waits patiently in the rain for Trump’s name to be pulled from the Kennedy Center, a beautiful, beautiful rainbow appears.

I have seen this at some of our Irish family reunions which hit some road bumps
getting everyone together.

Then some good things happens to make it all work.

Then our dearly departed loved ones send us the rainbow.
Everyone in the family knows what happened, and who sent us the rainbow.

And all lifelong Democrats. I'm hoping that my Irish grandfather, WWI veteran who died suddenly in 1940, is a part of that rainbow.

Our departed relatives, who fought in WWI and II, have come to help us.

My Dad was an ardent Dem, from Boston like JFK.
Dad of course lived on the poor side of the Irish section of Boston,
and JFK on the rich side.

But the Kennedys were part of the fabric of daily life in Boston
for my dad growing up. The paper was always full of news about the Kennedys.
Every time Rose Kennedy got pregnant it was all over the local newspapers
and people were talking about it. Grandma used to joke when did she get
front page every time she got pregnant.

Yep, my dad is in the crowd that put that rainbow together.
Damn Trump.

Both he and his closest brother signed up to fight in WWI. My grandfather delivered ammunition to the front by horseback and his brother fought at the front and survived, was awarded the Silver Star. Unfortunately, my grandfather was also the first to die when my Dad was only 12. I only knew one of the boys in that family, but my Dad had several aunts who I knew, my grandfather's closest sister lived to 97. And I like to think that they're all looking down on us, including my Dad. I visit the cemetery every week to light a new candle and I've filled him in on what what we're experiencing now...

It is interesting, how many of us with Irish ancestors are having the same feeling.
All the WWI and II vets have gathered on the other side to help us.

It must be galling to them. They suffered 1000 years of British persecution.
They came here to the US to finally be free and they embraced the US with heart and soul.
Including risking their lives to defend it.

They must be heartbroken.

Well we feel them near us now.

The rainbow at the Kennedy Center tells the story as far as I am concerned.

I remember "Tim Russert's (Meet The Press) funeral in June 2008 featured a vivid double rainbow over Washington, D.C., just as mourners departed while a ukulele version of "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" played." Very cool!

Will pee on him multiple times. And the cats will hiss and all the other animals will respond appropriately.

Between that and the dogs peeing on him, I'm sure he won't stick around long!
