Ossoff: The president has been humiliated on the world stage. Many Americans are increasingly concerned about his stability and his capacity for the office. Itâs deeply distressing to Americans to see a president so incompetent attempting and failing to represent the nation.

(8,321 posts)America is humiliated, all Americans have been made to look like fools whether you voted for him or not
DT has no concept of what he is doing to this country, he is so far bent that he thinks he is awesome
And I would blame the press for sitting there and letting him make us all look bad, they are complicit, IMO

(9,300 posts)He's so self-absorbed, so selfish, so deeply committed to the, "I, me, me, mine" world he lives in, that everything must be about him.
He has to be the best at everything anyone does. He can never admit a mistake, or take responsibility for anything that goes wrong. Thus he has to lie constantly to reject truth, and bolster his self image. On the opposite side, he'll take credit for everything that goes right, even if he wasn't involved.
Trump is a full on farting and belching, screaming demon of a narcissist to the nth degree.
Of course, those qualities make it impossible for him to actually do a good job as president. In fact he's easily the worst president this nation has ever seen. The statement, "everything Trump touches dies" is absolutely true.
And his enablers use him to gain favor and keep his base on their side.
I surely hope this nation survives him.

(35,288 posts)The only thing he's incapable of doing is acting like a sane, benevolent, humane individual.
He's a creep, a crook, a criminal, a leech, and pure evil.
He deserves absolutely no pity or compassion. He would slit his own mother's throat before admitting that he has anything wrong with him that needs correction.
Don't fall for his act. It's a trap.
He's a psychopath. The worst of the worst of humans. Below the bottom of the barrel. The most dangerous people on the planet.
Don't waste your energy. He's not that deep and he comprehends everything.
Our compassion is completely wasted on him and his ilk.
1. Aggressive, callous, and cunning
2. Completely void of conscience and empathy
3. Adept at manipulating others
4. Willing to engage in immoral, criminal conduct
5. Willing to take what they want and do as they please, regardless of who is hurt or wronged
6. Deceptive ability to appear outwardly benevolent
7. Deceptive ability to behave in superficially charming ways to hide purely selfish motives
8. Willing to use force, intimidation, and violence to control others in order to satisfy their own needs
9. Willing to intentionally violate the basic inherent human rights of others
10. Completely lacking any sense of guilt or remorse for the harm their actions cause
11. Rationalize their own immoral behavior
12. Attempt to lay blame upon someone else for their own bad conduct
13. Will deny their own wrongdoing outright
14. Display utter contemptuousness toward the feelings and desires of others
15. Exhibit pathological lying, will compulsively say anything without any concern for the truth to advance their own agendas
16. Able to fake normal human emotions and empathy with the exception of joy, laughter
17. Have a distorted sense of the consequences of their actions
18. Totally fail to accept any responsibility for their own socially irresponsible ways
19. Strongly believe that they will never be brought to justice for their criminal behavior

(4,158 posts)Overall, between the non-voters and the trumpers, we are led by whom we chose. The indifferent and the cult are the majority of Americans.
Our own leadership is reliant on the monied class and some succumb to that intoxicant, reducing the influence on the betterment of the whole.
We live what we accept. Tough to jump off a reckless train and land well.
Getting to the engineer through stoic conductors, doing the best they can to survive their choices, is not for the faint of heart.
Picking up the pieces will be for those who escape the wreckage.

(4,158 posts)the majority of Americans. Many consider us elite eggheads. We have not drawn them to the wonderful experience of peeling back the layers of all that makes living a challenge at every level.
I have a Canadien friend in my golf circle who called me out once as an American led by trump.
He is America on display. You elected him.
My rebuttal held no water.
You elected Obama. You elected trump.

(15,784 posts)To offer denial is to disavow the democratic process and/or its result.
You live in this democracy correct? You are a U.S. citizen? Then Donald Trump is your defacto president, and you
own it. (regardless how you may twist and turn ..) There is no such thing as 'the other people's' president. You live in a country that has anointed him as their representative, their leader, and their figurehead! Sorry fact. But also plain fact.

(3,245 posts)We can get over humiliation.
What we can't easily get past is that this guy has purged a generation of military leaders. He has wasted 5 years' production of our most important (and hugely expensive) weapons, just shooting them off as it they were firecrackers on July 4. He has given away endless classified secrets to our enemies. He has wasted billions of taxpayer dollars with kickback schemes to his family and friends. And he has revealed to the whole world that our mighty military that we spend well over a trillion dollars a year for, is simply powerless to effect any real change unless we are willing to put 100,000 soldiers on the ground. And we aren't willing.
He tore up a deal that was working because he believed a strongman could do better. Now we have neither a strong man nor an agreement that keeps America safe.
Flags should be at half-mast.
