Paul Krugman:

#HandsOffSocialSecurity
It’s OURS—we’ve paid into it
with our hard earned money.

Paul Krugman is right: there is nothing “inevitable” about Social Security cuts. The crisis is political, not mathematical. Corrupt Republicans took new revenue off the table so they can force benefit cuts onto workers. Don’t swallow the gaslighting. #HandsOffSocialSecurity

So they're making this BS case that it's gonna run out of money, and that's just a ploy to serve their ends.
In actuality, the rich have been draining this nation of wealth for their own purposes, at our expense for quite some time now.
So now we should start tapping that great reservoir of riches they've built up to fulfill the national purpose of serving the people.
We were founded to be a nation of the people, by the people, and for the people, not just a nation of the rich, by the rich and for the rich.

... but even the slime mold on the Dark Side of the Aisle finally conceded that it was a fool's errand that would have little or no public support. But that was back when the concept of "Public Support" still meant something to those fascist assholes.

This should be the rule, not the exception in our society. Maybe someday.

Social Security isn’t going to run dry by accident.

Income inequality is draining it.

Once someone makes more than 2,000, they stop paying into Social Security. Lift the cap. Make billionaires pay their fair share. Protect Social Security.
