For Juneteenth - a documentary that does a good job telling the shameful story of American racism.

As someone born white in Mississippi in 1950, I saw many of the events and way of life that this documentary depicts. Although many people think they know what it was like back in those time, I can assure you most people cannot fathom the real issues and way of life. I am speaking only of what I saw myself 1950s going forward. The history leading up to that time is basically unknown by most people these days.

Our history has clearly been "white washed" but to truly understand and appreciate the resilience and achievements of America's black population we have to know the real hardships, etc.

Sorry to ramble on, but I can honestly say that witnessing the modern era incidents myself, changed my life forever. It's long but worthwhile to watch with friends and family.
