Could KY dems or the DNC sue McConnel family for proof of life?

Assume the GOP is stone-walling, how can that be fought?

I do realize that wouldn't be a friendly thing to do But we are talking not letting the GOP keep a seat occupied by a dead person.

I suppose it could istart with pubic requests of the McConnel;s family, but considering that family is knee deep in keeping Dem president from appointing a new supreme court justice, I don't seem them as people to trust

Kentucky's governor would have to call for a special election, and voters would elect someone to serve out the remainder of McConnell's term if he passes, or whatever.

You might be right but I think the sooner such a thing is exposed the better for citizens across the country to shift their trust in the GOP

And maybe the better to get conspiracy charges 'to defraud' started

But I'm not a lying politician so I don't know how their game is really played

As of now the rule is that the Governor has to replace with a member of the same party.

Right now, we have a non-voting GOP senator. I'm ok with that.

I would likely take much longer to gather evidence of a successful attempt to have hidden the death

Is Kentucky the failed state or is The Federal Gov't?

I think a legal claim could be built around the notion that proof of death would be pretty good evidence that conspiracy to defraud had taken place

Then the GOP supplies a list of folks who the governor can choose to take Moscow mitch's place. So, then we end up with a live person on the magat's side. They will have horrible folks on the list. Not sure it's worth the effort.

Kentucky law on a person concealing a body:

Kentucky Revised Statutes Title IX. Counties, Cities, and Other Local Units § 72.020.Duty of person, hospital, or institution finding or possessing dead body; duties of coroner, law enforcement officer, embalmer, funeral director, or ambulance service

If Alito did resign, one fewer Rethug senator could mean an appointee slightly less intolerable, as more need for "moderate" (and I use the term loosely) votes.

What is worse messaging than refusing to release a list of pedophiles? Than electing one?

They don’t give a rat’s ass about how it would look because no one is really going to care. They’re all about power. It’s the one thing I admire about them, they play to win.

Just need to roll an appropriately sized cart past the McConnell house, see if they toss him on top.

It's as reasonable a solution as the OP.
