A really big question...Who is paying for Trump's discount gas?

Emoluments Clause @Emolclause
#BREAKING: Psaki: “[Tv ad: ‘Leading the charge to lower gas prices right here at Freedom Fuel Networks gas stations.’]…this week the White House itself posted that video trying to give Trump credit for lowering the price of gas at this one gas station chain, bragging about how gas there was only three dollars and forty-seven cents.

But there are a couple problems here. Of course number one, when Trump took office the national average for a gallon of gas was three dollars and twelve cents, so even this discounted gas is still much more expensive than gas was when Trump took office. Number two, this gas station chain has just 25 locations in two states, Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

Anyone who doesn’t happen to be near one of those stations is just out of luck, I guess. And number three, these 25 gas stations that are selling gas at 50 cents less than market rate, beg a really big question…Who is paying for this?

…the head of petroleum at the gas price monitoring site GasBuddy told MSNOW that he can’t foresee how they are profitable at such a low price, adding, ‘somebody’s paying for that.’

A White House spokesperson says the stations are run by a private company and are not receiving any special rates on gasoline or government funding, which is an incredible admission considering that Trump is trying to take all the credit.

And the only person who might know who is funding this apparent PR stunt for the president might just be President Trump himself, who last week, by the way, posted online that ‘a very smart retailer was going to be lowering prices at 25 gas stations throughout the Northeast.’”🙄
