The governor of South Carolina appointed a resident of Maryland to Senate from SC. She doesn't live in South Carolina. Of course apparently Tubervile who represents Alabama lives in Florida . The GOP ignores the parts of the Constitution that get in their way.

Personally I don't see any reason for Democrats to make this woman's life miserable. She's already grieving the loss of her only brother and she's about to move to Washington for the next 6 months. Things are bad enough for her right now, and she doesn't seem to have any political ambitions of her own. She'll just vote however she's told.

FWIW there are 3 ANNIE signs in my neighborhood, and I never see D signs here. There were no signs for Lindsay.

There was a lot of chatter on Nextdoor about how much the magas hate Lindsay but were going to hold their noses and vote for him anyway. I may not be getting the full picture because I have muted so many people on there.

There's no telling what impact the replacement will have until we see who it is.

Lindsey Graham's sister has requested people respect her privacy. In my opinion, so long as Lindsey remains dead, she should be totally ignored out of respect. Never say a word about her, never even think about her, out of respect.

If Lindsay's sister takes his seat, she is a public figure, and has made herself open to criticism. I hope I am wrong, but there is very little chance of a democrat winning this seat.
