(115,541 posts)--supplement those with lower levels, but a lot of these guys may already be taking anabolic steroids and similar muscle-building products. Those COMBINED WITH testosterone supplementation have been shown to increase the risk of testicular cancer (while cautious testosterone supplementation alone has not).
I'd bet Hegseth has years of consuming some of these products, along with any testosterone he might have taken/received. So, there may be a clock running. Just sayin...

(21,400 posts)Although they faced no resistance, they entered the village (of My Lai) shooting. They murdered hundreds of civilians consisting mostly of South Vietnamese elderly men, women, children, and infants using automatic weapons, grenades and bayonets. Infants and children were killed with bayonets, and females were raped and shot.
~
The official American estimate of those murdered was 347, but a Vietnamese memorial at the site lists 504 names, with ages ranging from 1 to 82.

(5,148 posts)Amphetamines are still the "go pills" for pilots. I think? They might have been supplanted by modafinil.
My understanding is the go-to "no go" is Sonata, a wonderful little hypnotic approved for insomnia with interrupted sleep because it is out of your body so fast, it leaves no hangover the next day. Spectacular pill. Still not as good as Ambien.
Ah sweet Ambien.
