SEN. @ossoff.senate.gov: âHereâs whatâs gonna happen tonight â the worldâs most famous sore loser will deliver a primetime presidential sour grapes ð address to pursue his 6yo grievances about the 2020 election while his war spirals out of control and the cost of living continues to rise.â

With the nation stuck in a directionless war with the goals abandoned and no real strategy, with prices and interest rates still high and rising, the ðð©ð¤¡ð¿ð· has decided to address the nation tonight about the 2020 elections and fraud.

(4,695 posts)He has clear syntax and a nice cadence when he speaks. He knows when to pause. He says things in a way that all can understand. Great speakers know how to do that. Hes a natural.

(43,497 posts)... but it might be a little to soon to call him "presidential."
Luckily, we have a deep bench in the Democratic Party, and we have several future stars who are still being nurtured for impending leadership. I'd say that Sen. Ossoff is coming along nicely, as are Pete Buttigieg, Gov. Josh Shapiro, Sen. Cory Booker, Gov. Gavin Newsom, Sen. Amy Klobuchar, and several others. (This isn't an exhaustive list.) I still believe Kamala Harris belongs also, but maybe not as a presidential candidate.
My point is that it's too soon to "fall in love" with any one person and lose sight of the goal that we really MUST achieve in 2028. We Democrats have much to be thankful for, because we aren't morally bankrupt like the Repukes. We have a deep bench of smart and inspiring future leaders who are coming up and (so far) haven't shied away from the next monumental task.
Our next President in 2028 must be someone who not only has brilliant ideas of their own, but can also collaborate with other smart, dedicated professionals because it will take all of us working together for the common good, to fix the awful mess. I can predict without a doubt that by 2028 our economy and our US Treasury will be destroyed - the financial failures will be on a par with 1929. Our next President needs to be the reincarnation of Franklin Delano Roosevelt and our Party will need to usher in a New New Deal. (Maybe call it something else.)
So is it fair to lay this heavy burden on Sen. Ossoff or any other young Democrat? I don't know, but time will tell.
