Truth Social to sell Wall Street firms quicker access to market-moving posts from Pres. Trump, the company said today

(DJT), has become the president’s go-to place for announcing policy decisions. The president’s posts frequently move markets, from stocks to oil.

The feed will provide real-time data from the top 10-ranking Truth Social accounts and deliver posts to customers “in milliseconds,” the company said. There was no available information on pricing.

The company said the faster-access offering would help add to Trump Media’s revenue stream. It serves as the latest in a growing list of examples of the president blurring the lines between his business and his White House duties.

“Markets already move on Truth Social posts,” Kevin McGurn, interim chief executive officer at TMTG, said in a statement.

“Truth API delivers a direct, licensed, real-time feed of the platform’s most market-moving Truths while advancing our strategy to monetize proprietary assets through a high-margin, recurring revenue stream,” McGurn added.

Virginia Canter, an ethics attorney with Democracy Defenders Fund, told CNBC that the new product is “a huge conflict of interest.”

The president, said Canter, “has an obligation to the American people to convey information to them publicly, and he’s now funneling it through a private channel in which he has a private interest as one of its largest shareholders.”

Trump has repeatedly posted market-moving messages to Truth Social. Perhaps most notably, the president declared in an April 9, 2025 that “THIS IS A GREAT TIME TO BUY!!!”—a reference to stocks. Hours later, Trump announced a 90-day tariff pause, sending the S&P 500 index soaring nearly 10%, its largest single-day gain since 2008.

Trump Media is following a path blazed by other social networks, which also provide APIs to paying customers. Hedge funds and other Wall Street firms use low-latency feeds to gain an edge on market-moving information posted on social networks. They can use access to post archives to create algorithms that respond to sentiment and emerging trends.

But none of those other social networks are the primary outlet for official posts by the president of the U.S. Trump regularly posts updates on his decisions about the war with Iran and tariffs on Truth Social, among other issues.

The president shares a continuous stream of posts on Truth Social, where he can post a dozen times a day or more. Many posts are reshares of flattering memes by his supporters. Others are more consequential.

On Monday, Trump announced on Truth Social that he would reinstate a naval blockade against Iran and would impose a 20% fee on commercial traffic. On Wednesday, Trump cancelled the plan to impose a fee. In another post this week, he reversed a brief halt on traffic stops by Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers after the fatal shootings of two people.

None of those posts was shared on Trump’s verified X account, where he has 112 million followers.
