Bernie Sanders Says Americans Are Living In An 'Oligarchy On Steroids'

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) just described inequality in America as “oligarchy on steroids.”

During Sunday morning’s episode of “Meet the Press,” Sanders said there was a crisis of democracy in the U.S., and he wants to fight back by getting average, working class Americans to run for office.

Asked if his current cross-country “Fighting Oligarchy” tour with Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was meant to help Democrats or inspire people to start a third party, he told moderator Kristen Welker, “We are trying to strengthen the American democracy.”

The senator then highlighted a glaring statistic about wealth disparity in the country. “We are living ... in the richest country in the history of the world and yet you have one person, Mr. Musk, who owns more wealth than the bottom 53% of American households,” Sanders said. “That is insane. That is oligarchy on steroids.”

Yep, Yep, and YEP!!!!

This man has spoken nothing but the truth from day 1. And I still can't figure out how a huge percentage of people still do not support his policies. His policies always support "We the people" All of us.

Oligarchy is in the past. We are living in a fascist state. Donors do not control Trump. He’s squandered their wealth to implement his insane agenda. They are no more happy with Trump than we are.

have to sell/buy things and want a good economy and stability and trade, Musk is a laughing stock. The idea that oligarchs control everything, including the Democratic Party and bribe them to do what they want -- what? This is what oligarchs want? I don't get it.

After years of shadowy "oligarchs" supposedly controlling everything behind the scenes finally there was Musk with a name and a face prancing around on stage. ...
