Trump fires longtime Librarian of Congress Carla Hayden

President Trump has fired longtime Librarian of Congress Carla Hayden, a congressional source confirmed to CBS News.

Hayden was fired in an email Thursday from Trent Morse, deputy director of presidential personnel.

The move was blasted by Democratic House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, who called the "unjust decision to fire Dr. Hayden in an email sent by a random political hack is a disgrace and the latest in his ongoing effort to ban books, whitewash American history and turn back the clock."

Hayden has been the librarian of Congress since 2016. She was first woman and African American to hold the position.

So perhaps he did have the power to fire her too. She only had one year of her ten left, but Trump is all about performative bigotry, so he had to fire the Black woman.

Complete with sweatshops, reeducation, and death / wellness camps. Education? No more public education for anybody, only private education for the worthy, featuring carefully selected curriculums that teach white nationalism and MAGA. Healthcare? Dealt out by church to who they deem worthy. Jobs and housing only go to those who kiss the MAGA ring and wave the flag enough. Which is absolutely insane.

The group, American Accountability Foundation, accused her and other library leaders of promoting children’s books with “radical” content and literary material authored by Trump opponents.

... tells you all you need to know about the decision. Trump's depraved racism rears its ugly head yet again. This repulsive homunculus masquerading as a human being is bad enough; that it is writhing about in a fist-waving, flatfooted dance while it perverts the presidency is unforgivable. Every Republican that Satan ever defecated must be held responsible for this obscene travesty.
