At least 30 people were injured – seven of them critically – when an “unknown vehicle” drove into a crowd in East Hollywood early Saturday, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department. The West Santa Monica Boulevard location provided by the LAFD is in the area of a music venue.

Seven victims were transported in critical condition, six in serious condition, and 10 in fair condition, the LAFD said. Seven patients refused transport after being assessed on scene, according to the department.

Video of the incident showed multiple injured people on the street and sidewalk being treated for their injuries. Some were seen being taken away on stretchers as police cordoned off the area.

The fire department coordinated patient triage and transport from the incident that happened around 2 a.m. local time. The department said 124 fire personnel assisted at the scene.

What was the general makeup of the crowd that was assaulted? Why were they at that location at that particular time?

The more you know....

I actually went to KTLA's website before posting this and they had ZERO about this at all.

https://ktla.com/news/

KNBC is still headlining the sheriff deputies who were killed - https://www.nbclosangeles.com/ as is KABC - https://abc7.com/

It's like a "local" news blackout.

I went to three different sites that had this mentioned and they were all just reposts of the same story.

They know what the venue is and they can easily find out who, if anyone, was there. They can easily see what the makeup of the crowd was.

It just almost seems like they want to hide something about this. Not the whole story, but a part of it.

We will see, I guess.

At least 20 people have been hit by a car that plowed through a crowd in Los Angeles after the driver reportedly lost consciousness, authorities said.

The incident took place near the intersection of Santa Monica Boulevard and Vermont Avenue in east Los Angeles and has injured more than 20 people with officials saying at least three people are now in critical condition, six are in serious condition and 19 in fair condition, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department. Authorities said 124 fire personnel are assisting at the scene.

A preliminary investigation shows the driver may have lost consciousness, drove into a taco cart and and ran into a large crowd outside a club in East Hollywood, according to per Police Capt. Adam Van Gerpen, public information officer for the Los Angeles City Fire Department:

and the local L.A. TV websites have basically nothing. They were still stuck on the 3 sheriffs who were killed at that training facility and the cancellation of Colbert.

Local TV stations rarely run 24 hour news operations anywhere in the world. It's rare for something to happen at 2am, so having reporters and other workers hanging around in case something does would be unusual.

"Witnesses on the scene told ABC News bystanders also took the driver of the vehicle out of his car and attacked him following the car ramming."

So he's unconscious now, even if he wasn't when the crash happened.

Yesterday
A man suspected of driving his car into a crowd of people in Los Angeles has been charged with assault with a deadly weapon.
...
The LAPD is investigating the crash as an intentional act because the driver made a U-turn before ramming through the crowd, according to the BBC's US partner CBS News.

Police said that when officers arrived, bystanders had dragged the driver out of the Nissan Versa and were attacking him.

One assailant shot the driver, who was taken to hospital for surgery, the LAPD added. His condition is unknown.
