USA Triathlon National Championships canceled as Milwaukee faces severe storms and flooding.

USA Triathlon has canceled its Sprint and Paratriathlon National Championships in Milwaukee due to unsafe conditions. The decision was announced Sunday morning, after officials assessed potential water conditions, flooding, and course damage.
The organization made the determination in partnership with Milwaukee city officials, local authorities, emergency services, and safety teams.

"Athlete safety is always our highest priority," USA Triathlon officials stated. "We have been working throughout the morning hours with local authorities and our teams in an effort to still make today's events in Milwaukee possible."
