Dem DA on CNN Torches 'Stupid, Racist, Fascist Dictator' Trump Amid Crime 'Distraction'

Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner (D) savaged President Donald Trump over his police takeover, calling the president’s actions everything from “stupid” to “fascist” to dictatorial — and framing it as a distraction from questions about “his own involvement in a pedophile ring.”

Trump held a press conference Monday to announce the deployment of National Guard troops in Washington, D.C. — a move that critics have described as a stunt to distract from the uproar over deceased sex criminal Jeffrey Epstein. The president spoke and took questions for more than an hour, insisting that crime has gone up in D.C., even as data shows it has gone down.

The president also floated spreading this approach to other cities. On Tuesday night’s edition of CNN’s The Source with Kaitlan Collins, host Kaitlan Collins asked Krasner about the threat of a Trump takeover in Philly, and Krasner mercilessly attacked the president:

COLLINS: We do hear the president saying, other U.S. major cities could be next here. I wonder if that’s a pledge that you take seriously tonight.

LARRY KRASNER: Well, sadly, we do, because I think the bottom line is that President Trump doesn’t like public safety. He’s a convicted criminal himself. He pardons people who are criminals, and do pretty dastardly things, like cause the deaths of five different law enforcement officers, during January 6th.

There is no indication that this man is in favor of law-abiding behavior of public safety. But he is in favor of power. He is in favor of fascism. He is in favor of ending democracy.

That's my D.A.! A progressive one at that (former defense attorney). Heard on the radio this morning that he was commenting about 45's threats and then I see he was on CNN. He's up for re-election this year and is pretty much a shoo-in (the (R)s didn't bother running anybody but the (D) former judge who ran against him in the primary and lost by a huge amount, is going to run as a (R) now this November ).
