DC Nat Guard 25-ton MRAP crashes into car, no injuries

Traffic accident in DC this morning when a National Guard Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) vehicle t-boned a car in Capitol Hill this morning. Firefighters had to use the jaws of life to free the driver, who DC Fire & EMS said sustained only minor injuries thanks to the air bag and seat belt.

The MRAP weighs 17 to 25 tons depending on its configuration and visibility by the driver is limited.
