Bar complaint filed against Trump's top prosecutor in upstate New York over 'alleged dishonesty' and First Amendment

A collection of legal and press freedom nonprofits recently filed a bar complaint against Acting U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of New York John Sarcone III over allegations he may have "engaged in dishonest and unethical conduct warranting discipline."

The five-page complaint comes after a series of critical reports from the Times Union, the major daily newspaper for the Albany region.

One of those reports details how President Donald Trump's man in upstate New York is allegedly using a fake address in order to comply with residency rules that require the top federal prosecutor for any given district to actually live in the district they represent.

The complaint does not mince words and describes the purported residence as a "boarded up, uninhabitable Albany property" which "conveniently appears intended to prove his compliance with residency requirements for U.S. Attorneys provided by federal law."

Unlike in other states the New York State Bar Association isn't involved in disciplinary matters. In New York each Appellate Court Department has an Attorney Grievance Committee. Any concerned citizen or group can make a complaint about illegal and/or improper attorney conduct to the "Committee" in their district. This is what happened here.

Albany is in the Third Department so anyone who has an issue with this guy or any confirming/supporting evidence can contact:
