Trump administration to award a no-bid contract on research into vaccines and autism

NEW YORK (AP) — Federal health officials intend to award a contract to Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute to investigate whether there is a link between vaccinations and autism, according to a government procurement notice.

The Troy, New York, engineering school is getting the no-bid contract because of its “unique ability” to link data on children and mothers, according to the notice posted this week.

Officials at the Department of Health and Human Services did not immediately respond to questions about the notice, including how much the contract is for or what exactly the researchers intend to do.

U.S. Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., a leading voice in the antivaccine movement before President Donald Trump selected him to oversee federal health agencies, announced in April a “massive testing and research effort” to determine the cause of autism by this month. He has repeatedly tried to link vaccines to the condition.

Have you been to Troy, New York? Do you know anything about RPI? I am not an alum, nor affiliated in any way, but I do live near the university. I know and am friends with numerous RPI graduates, and I have dealt with members of the faculty on many occasions. RPI is far from an all-white bastion of MAGA conservatism. My sense is that it’s the opposite. It is one of the best engineering schools in the country with a diverse faculty and student body. If you had looked up the demographics before posting, you would have confirmed that around 50% of the student body is non-white.

.....and integrity. He's a famous denier of science just like his cult. He chose this Univ. for a reason. That's my take. We'll see how the results of this phony as a 3-dollar bill study turn out. Seems like this "esteemed Univ." is more than willing to placate a slob lying fraud. Sorry if that's your fave Univ. It just made a deal with the devil. Also, I guess you didn't read a review of the school. I'm sure it's gonna be even more white in the near future. The further out from NYC you go, the more MAGA it becomes. Halfway to Canada is MAGA infestation territory. I was born in New Rochelle by the way. Boston Red Sox fan too.

but, sadly, not surprising.

We don't know yet how much money will be wasted on redundant and unnecessary "research" into a question, the answer to which has already been proved beyond a reasonable doubt.

Meanwhile, the incompetent RFK Jr. has abolished some very promising research on mRNA vaccines. He vastly overestimates the risks of mRNA vaccines, despite an abundance of scientific evidence that they are safe and effective.

They are paying a suckup to deliver their message.

If there ever was a legitimate link to autism it would be broadcast far and wide by these clowns. But the link does not exist so they have to buy one.

I'm guessing RPI is not being constantly threatened to have its funds pulled. They have a guy on the inside.
