Trump orders Pentagon to begin testing nuclear weapons 'immediately'

Source: NBCnews.com

GYEONGJU, South Korea -- President Donald Trump on Wednesday said he had instructed the Pentagon to "immediately" resume testing nuclear weapons.

"Because of other countries testing programs, I have instructed the Department of War to start testing our Nuclear Weapons on an equal basis," Trump said in a Truth Social post shortly before his highly anticipated meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping in South Korea. "That process will begin immediately."

The United States has voluntarily halted nuclear explosive testing since 1992. However, it has the ability to resume tests at the Nevada National Security Site.

During his first term, Trump sought a nearly tenfold increase in the U.S. nuclear arsenal, NBC News reported at the time.

Why does the orange pig feel the need to rattle the nuclear saber for the first time in 33 years?

Is this a prelude to an attack on Venezuela, or is he just feeling extra *small* in the pants lately?

to think any bunker would survive a nuclear hit directly on it.........

I am sure Putin would consider a small tactical nuke, and now his puppet will consider it also.......

Trump keeps throwing shit at the wall, in hopes some of it sticks, to divert attention from Epstein and all the other shit Miller and Vought are doing in the shadows behind their smoke and mirrors.......

on China. Some brilliant national leadership we've had these past 25 years to allow corporations to rape the public for profit while at the same time sending much of the wealth, brainpower, and know-how to China.

I mean, when I read it I actually had the same kind of bad goosebumps go down my spine as I did seeing the demolished East Wing. He's going to nuke someone. He wants SO desperately to be King of this country.. and so badly to keep any kind of elections from happening... that he'll nuke someone, foreign or domestic, and then claim Insurrection Act status. He, or really... more likely, Miller and Kegsbreath... or up to something and none of it is good. Ever have that feeling when you know something drastic has to be done RIGHT NOW and you have no idea what it is and how you could do it? That's the hole I'm in...

to use nukes without congressional approval. I guess they were all freaked out by how many times he mentioned nuking some place. Could be wrong or I am right and the Republicans will give him the green light or he will just do whatever the Hell he wants anyway.

... or anything worthwhile like that.

So, instead of leading by example and continuing to pressure the hold-out nations to sign, it's now "If you can't beat em, join em" ?

I want the America back that aspired to build a more perfect union and promote values of global citizenship here and abroad. Sure, our progress on those aspirations was too slow, but Trump's America is barreling headlong into evil empire status.

I believe Trump is hellbent on ending the moratorium by carrying out full-yield tests, and thereby erase any good that came out of the efforts of the hated Clintons.

So, hatred for the Clintons may be a factor for the rotten mango. But the Republicans had their eyes on the nuclear weapons prize much further back than that.
