Only 16 of over 600 detained by ICE in Chicago area have criminal histories, records show

Source: CBS News

Updated on: November 14, 2025 / 10:18 PM CST

The Trump administration has released the names of 608 people detained by immigration agents, and whose arrests might have violated a court order, and only 16 of them have been identified by the federal government as a "high public safety risk" because of their alleged criminal histories, according to court documents.

The list includes names, country of citizenship and whether they've been deported, remain in custody or voluntarily deported.

The list is topped by 16 people deemed by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement as a "high public safety risk" because of their alleged criminal histories. Charges include aggravated assault, aggravated DUI, domestic battery and kidnapping. One person was deemed a national security risk, and another was identified as a "foreign criminal," but no details were given.

The government was required to provide the list in court as a judge prepares to potentially release most of those people by next Friday, because their arrests potentially violated the terms of a court order restricting warrantless arrests.

Those motherfuckers need to face kidnapping charges at the very least. tRump's ICE goons have a far worse criminal background than the immigrants they're going after.

6. From Wikipedia:

Nov 15

"37,660 people were deported in Trump's first month in office, including both removals and returns, far less than the monthly average of 57,000 deportations under Biden in 2024."
From DHS:
"The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) today announced record-breaking statistics with more than 527,000 illegal aliens removed under the leadership of President Donald Trump and Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem."

https://www.dhs.gov/news/2025/10/27/dhs-removes-more-half-million-illegal-aliens-us#:~:text=WASHINGTON%20%E2%80%93%20The%20U.S.%20Department%20of,Homeland%20Security%20Secretary%20Kristi%20Noem.

So Trump is deporting about the same number of people as were deported under Biden. Perhaps more immigrants have chosen to leave the US "voluntarily" (If you run out of a burning building, are you really leaving voluntarily?)

Certainly DHS and ICE didn't have a sterling reputation before Trump, but there was no where near the level of chaos and terror that we see today. And we hear of massive detention facilities being built, by well-connected companies using public funds of course. Does it seem possible that all of this is just to be used against immigrants?

Probably a lot of the ones already deported were not criminals either.

These 600 are those whose arrest is deemed to have violated a consent decree. The other 3000 are in the wind.

But here's the thing: there are thought to be 175,000-200,000 undocumented people in the Chicagoland area. Even if half of them throw in the towel and self deport, it would take ICE, using the aggressive tactics that have spawned widespread resistance all over Chicagoland, another three years to "clear" the rest at this pace.

Again, that's if half of the total self-deport!

They are massively and definitively failing.

As a side note Trump's granddaghter (no DNA records but I guess she is) isn't very good at golf but Annika invited her. So much for the LPGA, another Trump institution for the mentally unfit.
