Nikki Haley's Son Calls to Ban 'Naturalized Citizens' From Holding Office In Tucker Interview

The son of former GOP presidential candidate Nikki Haley told Tucker Carlson that he believes naturalized citizens should not be able to hold public office.
Nalin Haley appeared on The Tucker Carlson Show on Thursday to discuss his personal views on politics and share with Tucker how he believes young people feel about white nationalist Nick Fuentes after Carlsons controversial interview with him gained widespread attention and condemnation.
When the topic turned to immigration, Haley told Carlson that during former President Barack Obamas tenure, immigrants were no longer expected to assimilate.
Immigrants historically have basically been expected to assimilate. And then around the Obama years was when you started to see a shift of like, No, you dont need to change. You can be who you are,' said Haley. No, you need to assimilate. You have to. Because without it, we lose our identity as a country.

What a dumbass who will soon learn what this country REALLY does to non-northern Europeans. His grandparents were "off the boat" and he idiotically believes that TPTB will EVER accept him and his family. He needs to consult with DiStort D'Newza's sudden revelation.

Immigrants from all over this country is what makes America the great nation that it is. Most African-Americans today can trace their ancestry to somewhere in Africa, who were sold into slavery from 1619.
We all can trace our lineage somewhere in the world going back 2 to 3 generations. Both my Grandfathers were foreign born(Mexico and Yugoslavia). My Maternal Great-Grandparents were from Florence in Italy. My late husband's paternal Grandparents from Sicily and Maternal from England, Wales, and Germany. All came to this country to forge a better life.
Perhaps Mr. Haley needs a better History lesson if he is capable of understanding why Immigrants choose to come here rather than stay in their own native countries.

(164,031 posts)It's why 45's loons are rapidly trying to purge the REAL history of this country.
And ironically, the loudest purveyors of doing this are usually the most "recent" immigrants themselves (maybe going back 2 generations at most and coming from countries where their own families were persecuted, and now their own children want to persecute others here so THEY can finally "be on top" ).

HELL - Kamala Harris' mother IS from India (her mother's family was supposedly in the Brahmin caste) so Kamala is 1/2 East Indian (and 1/2 Jamaican).

What Happens Next
The justices could decide as soon as Monday whether to hear the appeal, according to The Associated Press. If they take the case, arguments would likely be held in the spring, with a ruling expected by summer.

Some Indian American conservatives seem shocked that segments of the political right are now taking aim at them. When Democrats won big on election night, Ramaswamy advised Republicans to cut out the identity politics, saying we dont care about the color of your skin or your religion. We care about the content of your character. After one X user said that the existence of Indians disgusted them, Dinesh DSouza, the right-wing commentator who has peddled racism against Black Americans for decades, mused: In a career spanning 40 years, I have never encountered this type of rhetoric. The Right never used to talk like this. So who on our side has legitimized this type of vile degradation?

(8,395 posts)He thinks immigrants stopped being expected to assimilate during "the Obama years". One of the things most right wing bigots point to in criticizing immigrants is that "they don't speak English". In fact, as of 2025, only about 8% of US residents don't speak English very well. In the meantime, back in 2020, approximately 14% of the US population could not speak English.
Fact is, immigrants have never "assimilated" better and faster than they do today.
