PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) - About 50 protesters gathered in Oregon Park on Monday afternoon, calling for Enterprise Rent-A-Car to end its contract with the Department of Homeland Security and stop renting vehicles to ICE agents.
The Presidents Day demonstration was one of multiple rallies planned in and around Portland to protest the actions of the Trump administration and ICE operations. ICE is not welcome here, and we need to put pressure on the companies allowing them to operate here, said Sophie Goodwin-Rice, a protest organizer.
Goodwin-Rice said the group learned about Enterprises contract with federal immigration authorities from an employee disclosure. In January, we found out that Enterprise has leased more than 1,000 cars to ICE agents. That was something that came out from an employee, Goodwin-Rice said.
While protesters marched in Portland, lawmakers in Salem held committee hearings on two bills that specifically address ICE operations in Oregon.

Heard on the radio this morning that a number of cities (including here in Philly at Amtrak's 30th St. Station) were protesting ICE like this on President's Day - but specifically against Enterprise for their rentals of cars to ICE.
