House GOP rejects Senate-passed DHS bill, likely extending shutdown

Speaker Mike Johnson derided the Senate plan as "a joke" and said the House will advance its own bill.

• Shutdown likely to continue: Speaker Mike Johnson flatly rejected a Senate-passed bill that would have largely funded the Department of Homeland Security, including TSA, saying the House GOP will put forward a different plan to fully fund the agency. That means the DHS shutdown could be extended by at least several days.

that doesn't include the "SAVE," Act. Basically they're admitting their only chance of winning is if only their preferred demographic gets to vote.
