Little Lake City School District teachers and administrators on Monday resumed bargaining over a new contract, but a deal remained elusive as educators entered Day 3 of their strike at all of the school districts campuses.
As negotiations with the district resumed, supporters of the unions efforts canvassed houses near all nine school sites toward the goal of recalling all five of the districts school board members.
In response, district officials said the issues at hand go far beyond any individual board member.
Our members, families, and community showed up in force, and its clear the district heard us, Little Lake Education Association President Maria Pilios said in a Sunday night missive. Our strength and solidarity have brought us to this moment. Tomorrow, we expect a fair proposal that meets the needs of our students and educators.
