DOJ urges appeals court to let Trump build ballroom, citing failed UFC attack

A top Justice Department official said the ballroom's planned “Drone Port and Sniper Nests” would have been able to “destroy any effort” to attack the UFC event.

The Justice Department is asking a federal appeals court to let President Donald Trump continue building his planned White House ballroom, arguing that a thwarted attack on Trump’s recent Ultimate Fighting Championship event proves the need for the facility.

Brett Shumate, an assistant attorney general, urged a panel at the U.S. Court of Appeals for D.C. to lift a lower court’s order blocking much of the construction on the 90,000-square-foot ballroom, contending that the project’s security features are needed to protect the president.

As evidence, Shumate cited the foiled threat against the UFC event on the White House grounds over the weekend. Authorities have said they intercepted and stopped plans to fly explosives-laden drones over attendees and gun down people who fled.

I am beginning to think these are all planned and coordinated. It's just looking to strange that this man has sooooo many attempts on his life.

Sounds like a psy-op from people high in the admin with his approval. Get the "assassin" close enough to do something or plan something, but far enough away so nothing bad will happen to the God-king.

administration. Whenever they were under criticism, another Bin Laden video magically appeared and the color-coded threat level would to up. Over and over again.

Being attacked by terrorists was political gold that republicans used for many years. So now we have Trump using assassination attempts in the same way. The thing is when Trump finds something that works for him, he keeps using it relentlessly. His lack of imagination is stunning.

7. The "attack" they cite was was covered by the news media yesterday:

There are a number of stories out there about this "planned attack thwarted by the FBI." Some of the coverage is straightforward reporting of the information made available by the government. A lot of it is alarmist bullshit.

In reality, the "planned attack" was thwarted, not by the FBI or secret Service, not by snipers and drone nests at the White House, but by the19-year-old kid's (Tycen Proper) mother, alarmed by her son's online communications, praise of Hitler, and purchase of guns and ammunition.

The mother took her son to the hospital for evaluation, and reported him to the local police and sheriff, who then reported this "planned attack" to the FBI. The online Tik Tok RW group the kid was communicating with was investigated. A total of five people participating in the chat were arrested. None of them had drones or explosives in their possession. None of them even left their home states. This whole thing is utter bullshit.

'FBI disrupts a planned attack on the White House UFC cage-fighting show, court papers say'

(PBS) "FBI agents learned about the possible threat on June 10, four days before the mixed martial arts extravaganza on the White House's South Lawn, 'and thanks to the rapid action of the FBI, our partners, and the Department of Justice in a multi-state operation, multiple individuals are now in custody and allegedly planned attacks were stopped cold,' Director Kash Patel said in a post on X on Tuesday."

"Five people were arrested from states including Ohio, Missouri and California, said a law enforcement official familiar with the matter. The official spoke to The Associated Press on the condition of anonymity to discuss information that was not yet public."

"Among those arrested was Tycen Proper, a 19-year-old Ohio man whose mother contacted local law enforcement last week with concerns about his firearms purchases and online communications, according to an FBI affidavit filed in the case."

"An assistant federal public defender assigned to represent Proper, who's charged with firearms offenses and crimes including attempted murder of an officer or employee of the United States, did not immediately return messages seeking comment. Proper made an initial court appearance Monday in Columbus and faces a detention hearing on Wednesday."

"Proper admitted in an interview with law enforcement that he participated in the planning of an attack, according to the affidavit, which says some members of the group began communicating with each other last March through a TikTok group called 'Vanguard of the Old.' "

" 'The members of the group stated that they wanted to protect the United States, which they believed was headed in the wrong direction,' the affidavit says. 'Members of the group believed that the United States needed to be torn down so that it could be rebuilt. Some expressed a desire that people who were involved with Jeffrey Epstein should not govern the country.' "

"The logistics of the planned attack were discussed via Signal, an app that uses end-to-end encryption for its messaging and calling services, through a primary chat of 'approximately 19 individuals' and smaller side chats, authorities said."

"Messages obtained from Proper's phone show he discussed the plot with others and highlighted several lawmakers he said should be targeted because of their support for Israel, the affidavit said."

"Proper told law enforcement officials that he had been planning to drive with weapons and body armor to a meet-up spot in Fredericksburg, Virginia, where the group was set to gather, it said. He said that though he did not intend to shoot people at the White House, others in the group did, the affidavit said."

"The plan called for the use of drones that would be detonated over the north side of the White House, prompting a rushed evacuation into the line of fire of waiting snipers in an attack that Proper said was designed to "jumpstart" a revolution in the U.S., authorities said."

I would think that most judges know by now that only lies come out of the DOJ and the White House. Of course, they create fake evidence to support their lies. It's sad when the Department of Justice is run by worse crooks than those in jail for their crimes.
