Will Trump's megabill help Democrats win the House?

(NPR) Democrats feel that President Trump's massive tax-and-spending bill is giving them an opening — and a message — ahead of the 2026 midterm elections. The focus is Medicaid, which provides health insurance for tens of millions of lower-income and elderly Americans, and affordability.

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, in an hours-long speech in opposition to the bill on Thursday, called it "cruel" and "dangerous." He, like other Democrats, focused on the almost $1 trillion in cuts to Medicaid, an effort to partially offset the trillions of dollars Trump's tax cut extension will cost.

Trump is beginning his own messaging campaign on what may wind up being the one, signature piece of legislation for his second term.

"THE ONE BIG BEAUTIFUL DEAL IS ALL ABOUT GROWTH," Trump wrote on social media this week. "IF PASSED, AMERICA WILL HAVE AN ECONOMIC RENAISSANCE LIKE NEVER BEFORE."

I initially thought it would be 3-6 months for the cracks to really show. That was foolish. Now I think it will start to show by late fall (unless he manages to suppress or manipulate the data).

By that time the impact of cuts in the federal workforce, decreased tourism, natural disasters, decreased consumer spending & the plethora of other ‘unintended’ consequences will leave no place to hide.

5. Dems dont need to just take the house. They need to win enough seats to impeach

...and remove every cabinet member. Which obviously requires 2/3rds of the Senatr.

Will be tough if not impossible.

...might not be. Depending on how bad things are.

Knowing this, he will do anything to prevent a fair and free election in 2026. Remember January 6th? This is who we are dealing with. And the GOP is also all on board.

Democrats need to plan counter measures ASAP!

4. I hope so. As long as certain loudmouths stop trying to undercut and sabotage the Democrats *

* with their nonstop divisive lies that say (or insinuate) that Democrats are "corrupt" and that "both parties are the same".

I've had it up to here with that BS. It's that kind of talk that weakens the party. It discourages support. It makes gullible voters think that the Democrats are not a good choice... and in the end, it only benefits Trump, the GOP, and Russia.
