MAGA faithful are angry about the Epstein case. Here's what to know
(AP) A broken promise to release more information about the Jeffrey Epstein case has sparked outrage among some of President Donald Trumps loyal supporters.
The Justice Department last week said Epstein, who was facing charges of sex trafficking, did not leave behind a client list. Attorney General Pam Bondi suggested in February it was on her desk, though she later said she was referring to the overall case file.
Bondi also said officials were poring over a truckload of previously withheld evidence. The Justice Department concluded, however, that public disclosure would not be appropriate and that much of the material was placed under seal by a judge. That has angered right-wing influencers who were once bolstered by Trumps own claims on this case, but are now feeling their demands are being squelched by his administration.

(2,532 posts)Oh noes! When, oh when, will these blithering idiots finally admit that they've been conned by a psychotic menace who couldn't tell the truth about the time of day? Yeah, he validates their own bigotry, but he'd throw them under the bus without a moment's hesitation, and even less regret.
Trumpleforeskin spews whatever bullshit he thinks will serve him in the moment. He's openly admitted to the fact that he lies to keep opponents or just ordinary people with no skin in whatever game he's playing off balance, and with no clear idea what he's going to pull next. He thrives on creating chaos. He mistakenly believes that it's a clever negotiating tactic, when, in fact, it simply exposes him as the malicious moron he really is. But regardless of that glaringly obvious fact, and given the power afforded him by the irredeemably corrupt SCOTUS majority, failure to take him seriously is a potentially fatal error in judgement. Think of a pissed off 3-year-old with a loaded gun. And you've got the cookie he wants.
