Epstein accuser Virginia Giuffre wrote a memoir. Months after her death, it's coming out
NEW YORK (AP) A posthumous and unsparing memoir by one of Jeffrey Epsteins most prominent accusers, Virginia Roberts Giuffre, will be published this fall, publishing house Alfred A. Knopf said Sunday.
Nobodys Girl: A Memoir of Surviving Abuse and Fighting for Justice is scheduled for release Oct. 21, the publisher confirmed to The Associated Press. Giuffre, who died by suicide in April at age 41, had been working on Nobodys Girl with author-journalist Amy Wallace and had completed the manuscript for the 400-page book, according to Knopf. The publishers statement includes an email from Giuffre to Wallace a few weeks before her death, saying that it was her heartfelt wish the memoir be released regardless of her circumstances.
The content of this book is crucial, as it aims to shed light on the systemic failures that allow the trafficking of vulnerable individuals across borders, the email reads. It is imperative that the truth is understood and that the issues surrounding this topic are addressed, both for the sake of justice and awareness.

In the event of my passing, I would like to ensure that NOBODYS GIRL is still released. I believe it has the potential to impact many lives and foster necessary discussions about these grave injustices, she wrote to Wallace.

(38,579 posts)It was a private conversation so nobody except the royal family really knows what Andrew told her.
However she immediately took action and said that he could no longer represent the royal family for any public events. Andrew was sent to hide away in his royal mansion out of the public eye, and to stay away from reporters who were hounding him for details.
Poor Queen Elizabeth had such losers for sons.

(38,579 posts)Her testimony and rape/pedophile charges were against Prince Andrew, Ghislaine Maxwell, and Jeffrey Epstein.
I don't think she knew Chump much at all, and she wasn't present at any of the "parties" that included him. There were leaked depositions of her testimony, probably 9 or 10 years ago (?) and she wasn't sure who he was. I guess she knew Chump's name but she couldn't identify him in a photo.
Virginia Roberts Giuffre is someone whose life was ruined by Epstein and Maxwell. She committed suicide just this past spring, so it's a very sad story about her.

(1,578 posts)There was very little that Virginia didn't know.
I'm so sad she killed herself, but, I can imagine how tired she was of fighting and losing the battle for truth. I so hope she gets revenge from the other side.

(7,024 posts)a job her father got her since he was a maintenance supervisor there. She likely never met Trump while she worked there and I'm sure Trump had no idea who she was. The "stolen" line was a lie from Trump looking to defend his lie that he broke off his friendship with Epstein because of that, even though he maintained that friendship for at least 4 years after Virginia Giuffre went to "work" for Epstein. Trump knew her name now because she has been in the media a lot over the past 6 months. The thing is, if he really knew her in 2000, her name was Virginia Roberts then - kind of strong evidence he only knows her name now from media reports, not any first hand knowledge.
Also, the publisher of her memoir confirmed the book does not contain allegations of abuse against Donald Trump.

(7,024 posts)I dont think Donald Trump participated in anything, she said. That would have to be another assumption. I never saw or witnessed Donald Trump participate in those acts, but was he in the house of Jeffrey Epstein.
She said that anyone who visited Epsteins house would have seen his many nude photos of women displayed on the walls. These are salacious acts of girls, young girls doing things to each other that would be considered child pornography, Giuffre testified. If you walked foot into Jeffrey Epsteins house and you went in there and you continued to be an acquaintance of his then you would have to know what was going on there.
This could be interpreted as accusing Trump of knowing what Epstein was doing and failing to do anything about it.

(7,024 posts)She's already said she never saw any wrongdoing from Trump. So there's basically no chance she says anything implicating him of doing anything other than being a friend of Epstein's.
Why aren't her words actually put out there? Why is it just, oh, she might have said . . .

(8,017 posts)be massive legal maneuvers to try and keep it from happening.
Maxwell doesn't have a leg to stand on. And the publisher already confirmed Trump isn't accused of anything in the book. Maybe Prince Andrew, who it's been confirmed is mentioned in the book. Anyone else trying to stop publication would in fact be admitting they had some connection to Epstein - not the wisest move in the world.

(8,017 posts)with legal pressure isn't going to usually be made public right away. Lawyer A contacts the legal department for the publisher and the discussions take place behind closed doors. If things get really nasty you might then see things made public about who is making waves.
Remember that the goal of a lawyer representing someone named in the book would be to convince the publisher that the subject person being included is not supported by facts etc. and to get the publisher to edit them out of anything that gets published. In those scenarios a publisher isn't going to divulge who they took out.

Which means that just because one or the other didn't see Crumb The 1st do anything it doesn't mean he didn't with others they didn't see.
