Epstein Survivor Who Voted for Trump Questions What He's Hiding
Jena Lisa-Jones, who survived abuse at the hands of Jeffrey Epstein, wants to know why Donald Trump is dragging his feet on releasing the files.(snip)
Im a Republican. I voted for him. I voted for Trump, Jena-Lisa Jones, who was abused by Epstein in 2003 when she was just 14 years old, said on MSNBC Wednesday evening. For him to say what hes saying is beyond me. Because I put my hope in him, and hes supposed to protect us. And for him to say that this is a joke, and that its sides? This is not sides. We will say it time and time again: None of us are up there accusing him of anything. There is no one that is accusing him of any wrongdoing, so for the fact that he is saying those things and saying its a hoax, who are you hiding for then? Because if its not you, then who is it?
Trump has been framing the Epstein saga as one big lie that his supporters would be stupid to believe, despite years of his own Cabinet officials speaking about the issue.

Jones isnt the only Epstein survivor questioning her vote for Trump.
Mr. President Donald J. Trump, I am a registered Republican, not that that matters because this is not political. However, I cordially invite you to the Capitol to meet me in person so you can understand this is not a hoax, said survivor Haley Robson when asked about Trumps hoax comments at the Wednesday press conference. We are real human beings. This is real trauma. Were here in person. To say that its a hoax is just not please humanize us. I would like Donald J. Trump and every person in America and around the world to humanize us, and to hear us for what we have to say.

I'm sick of this. When one side is trying solve a problem and the other side is consistently trying to make the problem worse, whether the problem is Epstein, the environment, our social safety nets, vaccines, or whatever, the problem absolutely IS political. And if a person cannot understand that the side which sold itself out to authoritarianism is the problem, then that person is also a part of the problem. A democracy with an ignorant and apathetic electorate is doomed to failure.

(70,905 posts)She voted for a rapist and a convicted felon in the hopes of getting answers about the Epstein cover-up. Thats some remarkably shitty thinking.
I hope she gets effective therapy for her past suffering, and that it jump-starts that substandard brain of hers.

(63,188 posts)*rump and his minions were by far the most vocal of any politician (s) stating that they would open the Epstein files. I don't recall anyone else running on that issue.
*rump graduated summa cum laude in the school of projection, and as these abuses have been going on at least since 1996, who are the survivors to trust?
So, I can understand grasping for a straw if you're drowning.

(29 posts)Isn't that kind of like an Auschwitz survivor voting for Hitler? But that's what double digit IQ republicans do. A few years back, a single mother in Kentucky voted for a candidate who promised to cut/eliminate Kentucky's version of Medicaid and she hoped he would not follow through on that promise. When asked why she voted against her own interests, she replied that she was a die hard republican - an unusual subset of humanity who, because they are either unwilling or unable to think critically, will eat whatever shit is put before them by the liars, cheats, and thieves known as the GOP. Okay, rant off.

(318 posts)TSF who took part in raping underage girls such as herself? Could be that one lacking introspect should stay quiet (and maybe read), some. Time for healing ng and clarity. Some sage advice: Don't feed the alligator that just tried to eat your face!!!!

(63,188 posts)that he took part in raping underage girls such as themselves. To my knowledge he hasn't been charged with that offense.
*rump ran on opening the Epstein files, no other candidate pushed it as he and his minions did.
As to "feeding alligators" we need Republican votes in the Congress if anyone actually wants the Epstein Files opened or we can trash the survivors because some of them made the mistake of believing in, and voting for someone that they thought would actually do it.
Their testimony is a direct refutation to *rump trying to frame this issue solely in partisan terms and a "Democratic hoax."
