URBANDALE, Iowa — An Urbandale man has been charged with 11 counts of purchasing and possessing child pornography weeks after he was arrested for trying to entice a police detective posing as a 14-year-old girl.

Court documents show that 41-year-old David Woiwood messaged the detective that he was willing to pay $500 for sex. On April 24, he was arrested on a charge of enticing a minor under 16 for a sexual purpose. The court also issued him a no-contact order for all minors.

On April 27, Woiwood posted bond and was released from the Polk County Jail.

Detective obtained a search warrant for Woiwood's devices because of the enticement charge, court documents show. They found multiple images of child sexual abuse material on his phone, including some that depicted toddlers and young children.

On May 14, Woiwood was arrested on 11 counts of purchasing and possessing child pornography, first offense. His bond has been set at $55,000.
