A friend of mine had a dog named Dexter. My friend lived in a high-rise, not too far from the elevator.

He had a giant rubber plant by the big skyline-view window.

One by one, he could see the leaves go missing from the tree. He suspected Dexter.

But where were the leaves? He could see the plant was missing leaves, yet he had no idea where they had gone.

He finally decided to install a camera. What he learned was that the dog would methodically be trimming the tree of leaves when he would hear the elevator arrive on the floor at about 5:30 PM. He would then take his leaves and stuff them under the carpet.

Then, tail wagging, he would hang by the door and wait for my friend to open it.

Even if it was a set up and the owners really moved the camera etc. It was funny.
