I had one of these once. It was truly a horrible experience.

Then I had one that caused dizziness when Ii stood up. Now I accept the hand of the tech. I know this is not quite accurate from Proverbs, but, “Pride goeth before the falll.” That works for me.

I was thinking about nearly 2 hours of having to remain stationary. I had one MRI of my knees 30+ years ago. It was not too bad as I wasn’t fully in the tube, my head was out. The cealiing tiles were so not interesting.

...my back was as tight as piano strings & my legs felt heavy. By the time I got to the car, I was fine. But, the start of that walk was a chore.

And, as one who finds closed MRIs so claustrophobic as to be nearly unbearable, I empathize with those patients sent to get one.

Two before the gadolnium, two after. I did get pulled out for a couple minutes for the dye to be administered, but I couldn't move. Then, right back in the tube

I sometimes go into panic mode, especially after they tell me "Don't move".

Fortunately, I don't need it.
But, I understand some folks might.
I just find it incredibly boring, but no panic.

I panic because when I'm lying flat, I often have trouble breathing. The more I panic, the harder it is to breath.

tube, I had to do it some years back and I'm very claustrophobic. It was all I could do to take a much shorter time than you were in it. The minute I began to be rolled in I felt like I couldn't breathe and the sensation to me was that the tube was within an inch or so of my face. I had to keep my eyes closed and try to focus my mind on being somewhere else and hang on to that. I don't do well in crowds, small spaces, crowded elevators, movie theaters that are the newer small ones with the seating more condensed etc.

On the brain scan results .

I have recent hearing blockage that comes and goes and my ENT can’t find any reason why that’s occurring. Anyway, results of the MRI found my brain to be normal which caused a great deal of laughter in the family. They pronounced me crazy years ago, insinuating the cause was… being raised in the sixties.

Anyway, glad yours was non eventful as well.

Just some earplugs, because those things are LOUD!
I played in rock bands for over 30 years, so if I think it's loud, it's definitely loud

Had about six, other than once, I was given music to listen to thru earphones

For the brain & spine, I'd think anything with a magnet would be a big problem, and even electrostatic speakers have a magnetic field.
But, if your head wasn't in the tube, seems like they could do it.

...to not jump to conclusions!

Won't know the other 2 until next week some time.
We shall see.

...how the spine scans look, but I'm at 1/3rd of the way home.
If there is some activity, today's meds are way better than what I used 10 to 30 years ago.
So, I'm not pessimistic either way.
