Wish me luck. Going for revision of knee replacement after 3rd incident of infection in 5 years. Been in a SN facility for over a month learning to walk again. Now I get to start over.

I'm holding every good thought that this time will be the last and that you'll know deep healing.
5 surgeries on my left knee, TKR got infected, artificial joint removed and a Vancomycin
spacer was put in its place for 8 weeks before putting in the new joint. Followed
by 10 weeks of IV Vancomycin balls into my PIC line at home...
More recently: Calf surgery on L leg got infected.. 4 more surgeries & 3 months of IV ab therapy,
the last 2 months @home IV push every 8 hours (courtesy the other nurse in the family)
followed by two more months of oral ab. 
The infection ate away my L knee cartilage so know I wear a custom knee brace..
but I can walk.
