They had a museum in Apple Valley, a few miles from Victorville, and a statue of Trigger on his hind legs welcoming at the entrance of the museum. I was stationed at George AFB in the early 80s, next to Victorville, and I knew two guys who were cousins and practical jokers. The told me that late one night, they snuck onto the museum grounds and painted Triggers genitals with a phosphorous orange paint. As cars went by the museum, their headlights would cause Trigger's genitals to "glow." The museum had to castrate Trigger as the only method to get rid of the paint.
