The guy got too close, and the ostrich kicked him in the shin, breaking it. This was at a petting farm you could visit and interact with the farm animals for educational purposes. They had a few ostriches and emus.

Guy was behaving like an idiot, clowning around, and the ostrich wasn't having it.

The kick made a sound like snapping a small tree limb in half.

The guy instantly hit the dirt screaming.

I have been attacked by chickens and turkeys. They will not give up when they start. A rooster swooped off the ground and drummed my chest. A turkey can be over your head clawing in an instant.
