My old cat is very chatty, he knows the tone of a question and will always respond. He is grateful and says his version of thank you after being fed, petted, groomed, taken outside on his leash for a little walk-about. If someone sneezes, he know a 'bless you' is in order and does his cat version of that. If meal is a tad late, we hear about AND he will loudly rearrange his food bowls while singing the song of his hungry people.

sneaked into the maiden voyage of the vehicle, discovered by kids and became part of the crew.

Minnie constantly talks to him and it is obvious that he understands which endears him to all of us, readers of the series.
