(48,446 posts)with the music teacher. official permission had to be given by Disney. Same goes for the Peanuts characters and the Grinch. Over the last ten years , sheet sets had the Peanuts characters. as with the Grinch. I designed art projects based on the Grinch and tried to sell on the website. Teachers Pay Teachers and got thrown off as I didn;t have Disney. and the others permission.

Next year, films made in 1930 fall into the public domain, including the first Looney Tunes/Merrie Melodies cartoons, as well as the first Betty Boop cartoons.
The next few years will see a tsunami of great old films from the early sound/pre-code era become copyright-free.

(26,495 posts)i vollunterred @ a museum and when we inputted (keypunch, ugh) items into the computer regestry , one had to be very careful of the copyright. laws . we had some outsiders that certain things belonged to them but most of or items were dohnated and on a contractual basis . so yeah. had to be careful
