The DU Lounge
Related: Culture Forums, Support ForumsGood morning my peaceful DU family,
As some of you are spending this weekend at a "Cabin up North" type destination, it reminds me of nights and mornings with the peaceful stIllness of the water, that perfect reflection of the horizon in my past.
DU represents that peacefulness as the wisdom and stillness comes to the surface here through so many moments of turbulence.
Please have a day guided and driven by that wisdom and peacefulness.
Love, John

(56,881 posts)No cabin up north for me. I live in a fabulously diverse working class city. Went to a riverfront fireworks display. Families hanging out, a DJ playing music too loud (I'm old, what can I say?), picnickers of all shapes, sizes, colors and nationalities. A party of true Americans.
It did my heart good.
