The radio DJs always knew

(I thought of this while watching the "That'70s Show" episode in which Eric and Donna had just broken up, and every station on his clock radio was playing Richie Valens' "Oh, Donna." )

It was a Sunday in 1975. My first love and I had broken up a couple of months earlier, and I'd just found out she'd married another guy -- a friend of mine, no less.

En route home a few minutes later, I stopped at a red light, and this came on the radio:

that kinda thing has happened to other people. Like I said, the DJs always knew. I dunno how, but they did.
