Widely regarded as one of the greatest and most influential bassists of all time,[2] Pastorius recorded albums as a solo artist, band leader, and as a member of the jazz fusion group Weather Report from 1976 to 1981. He also collaborated with numerous artists, including Herbie Hancock, Pat Metheny and Joni Mitchell.

He claimed that Joni Mitchell offered him $65,000 to impregnate her. She wanted his genius genes.
His life ended very sadly.

(WeatherReport) they were fusion jazz had a song Elegent People that I remember. He was good in the jazz genre.

He was a monster on bass.
Died a tragic death, quite young.

I play bass. I can only aspire to play near his level.
Now that my hands have given out, it will never happen. OH well.
