Damn bear just ripped the screen off and tried to crawl in the window!

I wasn't cooking there's no food out or nothing!

Cat came running down the hallway into my bedroom like she was climbing the walls. I walked down the hallway to see what's going on and he's got his face in the window! He ripped off the screen and was going to try and come inside for lunch!
😂🐻😳

I yelled at him and hit him with the fan that was in the window. thank God the fan was blocking him from getting in.
I guess it's almost fall, looks like they're getting more desperate for food. Bastards. Junior's going to have to find another place to find his dinner!

been here 30 years, not new to have bears come around, usually I catch them before they get too close, but I was in the back of the house.

Good thing the cat freaked out lmao

I had the box fan in the window so that blocked him for a second. Then I grabbed it, turned it sideways and popped him right in the face!

Yeah I'm definitely rural honey! I live in the forest and I am used to bears. I actually know this one he's been around my neighborhood for The last 5 years or so. He's about 300 lb, I named him Junior! LOL

We live in Albuquerque and are headed to Chama NM for the weekend. Family get together not camping tho. Good to read as we head out. Stay safe friend.

Here in NM, we don't see them until Sep-Nov, depending on altitude and latitude. This sounds like a youngster who got kicked out by Mama and discovered garbage dumps instead of what he's supposed to be eating.

Did you make the appropriate call to get him tracked and moved?

I haven't seen him very often. I think he's looking a bit early for fall which means we're probably going to have a rotten winner.

They don't tag them or remove them here. If a bear is a true nuisance and has caused property damage or threatened people then they usually euthanize them... 🥺
