Half of the people in the photo were not born in the USA, two do not live there permanently, and one is not a citizen, or even interested in becoming one!

BTW, The Pirate Museum is now moved from the P-Town pier over to West Falmouth, but if you haven't seen it, it is a MUST! It's the real thing, the Black Sam Belamy's pirate ship -full of treasure- was found off the waters of Coast Guard Beach. The museum is a blast for all ages!

Cheers!

I can't imagine it getting the visits it used to get, but I never stop in West Falmouth, so that's just a guess.
Too bad we didn't know you were around. Who else was here from DU? I would have wanted to meet with one of greats as well. (no one here but us chickens....)

They are still diving and finding stuff from the Whydah, and sometimes Barry Clifford is there at the museum.

Cheers

They take after my wife and daughter--although not in nature. They'll never become male models because they'd probably take a machete to a studio that did photos of them that they didn't like (and they are all of 2 and 4). Sandpipers in the sand, but Great Whites in the water.

We have graduated to the store-made ice cream of Sweet and Savory on Route 6 in Truro.

The "Key-Lime-Cheesecake" ice cream would be worth a trip from Bhutan on muleback, and we only had to come from Düsseldorf!

Every year, the first day we get here, I say to my self, "this is going to go by so fast, we won't even notice it."

And so it has. In one month, I have to be 5000 miles southeast of here. By then Cape Cod will seem like a pleasant distant memory.

I enjoyed it the one time, except for the traffic getting there and leaving.

Thanks for sharing.

Saturday morning, on Cape or off Cape

But once we're here, all is forgiven. Most of the traffic is for Hyannis or Chatham anyway. The Outer Cape is 90% for stupid fanatic like us, who really want to get away from it. Unfortunately, cruise ships occasionally dock at Provincetown, in which case the normally peaceful atmosphere is shattered by day tourists who really aren't interested in much beyond lobster rolls and salt water taffy. But they are usually gone by dinner time, and P-town reverts to being its usual quirky self.
