Cats and acoustic guitars

I have a practice area in my home where I play my acoustic guitar. It has an armless love seat that I sit on. Everytime I play my cat will join me. He curls up in a ball right next to me and falls asleep. I'm thinking this is not unique to just my cat. I wonder what it is about the acoustic guitar that he finds so soothing?

1. I don't know, but I know cats hate harmonicas. They like sweet tones in the higher registers I think.

Even in his last few months, when his legs were wobbly, he was blind, and a neurologist said he was unaware of anything, he still responded to my singing. We had gotten him as a semi-feral kitten and he was afraid of me for a long time until I started singing to him. That calmed him down and made him purr and I could hold him without any trouble. I'm not a great singer, but looking into his eyes I could do a pretty heartfelt impression of Nat King Cole singing "When I Fall in Love." I'm fortunate we could maintain that connection even to the end.

And all the other 6 would lay close enough to be against it to fill the body of the acoustic vibrate.
I have always preferred solid wood body’s and the vibration is really good.
I knew they never cared for Prine, just the vibration on them is soothing.

8. My now deceased kitty would come when I whistled. Especially "Summertime" from Porgy and Bess.
