Name a song with a country in its title. I'll start the ball rolling with Mozambique.

And yes my long lost buddy this is for you, if you are still out there remembering your Peace Corps days with "In Mozambique where the women are sweet."

By Eric Bogle
Eric is a Scot who moved to Australia many decades ago. I played a folk festival with him in Germany in 1975. Most of his songs were about drinking, but this one, one of the best anti-war songs I have ever heard, made him a world-wide name for a while.

Such powerful, biting lyrics - "slow and obscene".

A few that have the same effect:

Gallipoli
The Dutchman
The Parting Glass.

Thanks, DFW

I'll look for you in old Honolulu
San Francisco or Ashtabula
You're gonna have to leave me, now I know
But I'll see you in the sky above
In the tall grass in the ones I love
You're gonna make me lonesome when you go

U.S. Blues -- Grateful Dead

https://m.

Red and white, blue suede shoes
I'm Uncle Sam, how do you do?
Give me five, I'm still alive
Ain't no luck, I learned to duck
Check my pulse, it don't change
Stays seventy-two come shine or rain
etc.
